Award Submission Workshop

Jack Parry, of JRP Architects, was featured as a panelist in a Builder’s League of South Jersey workshop discussing the benefits of submitting for awards.

The Builder's League of South Jersey invited Jack, whose award-winning firm, JRP Architects, has had considerable experience submitting for awards, to be part of a panel for a BLSJ workshop designed to share with builders, marketers, architects, and remodelers the benefits of submitting for awards. The panelists, Jack, Kim LIttlehales, Jeanne Gamber, and Dawn Smith, who all have experience not only for submitting for awards but have also served as project judges for other organizations, provided attendees with the advantages of award submission such as marketing opportunities, exposure to the building/marketing community, and the chance to view winning projects that may provide insight into new trends. Establishing a firm identity and increasing connections was also brought forth as important considerations. The process of submitting for the Awards of Excellence was explained in detail, along with valuable tips to save time and suggestions for creating award-winning submissions. The event, organized by Marlene Spencer, BLSJ's Director of Marketing and Operations, ended with a wonderful lunch that gave attendees the opportunity for continued discussion of submission ideas.
